When the Titanic sank & How many people died from the Titanic's sinking

The Titanic sank on April 14th 1912, this will be the Titanic's 100th anniversary of sinking. A total of 1,517 people died on the Titanic. One of the richest men in the world died on the titanic John Jacob Aster. Thomas Andrews, and Captain Edward Smith also died. In addition hundred upon hundreds normal people like us died that April 12th day. The reason their was so much deaths was because they did not have enough boats for every person on the ship. Mostly men died, because the only had women and children go on the life boats.

  • They were the company whom made the ship
  • They boasted that they had incorporated every know engineering feature that would make her safer.
  • The company had the press saying that the ship was virtually unsinkable



The White Star Line is the owners of the ship. They were known for having a reputation of safety to run along with the luxurious fittings.
